30 Weeks

Weeks pregnant?: THIRTY WEEKS!!! WOOT WOOT

What Demi Is Up Too:

Demi is getting bigger every day, weighing in at over three pounds now (she’ll be packing on the weight at a rate of half a pound per week for the next seven weeks). Also growing daily is her brain, which is actually starting to look like the real thing with those characteristic grooves and wrinkles. And now that your little genius can regulate her own body temperature and turn up the heat, he’ll start shedding lanugo, the downy body hair that’s been keeping her warm up until now.

Maternity clothes?: I dont think this answer will change until this sweet girl arrives!

Stretch marks?: Negative! 🙂 

Sleep: being fully prepared for the long nights of baby crying, because she is keeping mommy awake like crazy right now!! 

Best moment this week?: finally beginning to set up my sweet girls room

Miss Anything?: being able to work out without feeling like my stomach is on fire 

Movement?: she moves all day every day all night every night!!!! 

Food cravings: grilled chicken salads 

Symptoms?: swelling, swelling and more swelling and then of course the braxton hicks contractions! good gracious get me to the due date!!! 

Belly Button in or out?: half and half! 

Wedding rings on or off?: Off, saddest day ever!! I am just too swollen! 

Happy or Moody most of the time?:  A lot of everything, I get super stoked thinking about my baby girl, and then I cry because I get so excited about my baby girl!!! 

Looking forward to?: being home with my AGCC family and having the next baby shower!!! 🙂  

 

 

START OF THE FINAL TRIMESTER!

Weeks pregnant?: TWENTY-EIGHT!!!!

Maternity clothes?: I dont think this answer will change until this sweet girl arrives!

Stretch marks?: Nope, staying hydrated and moisturized! 🙂

Sleep: we are a high maintenance little munchkin! every hour on the hour she kicks to make me switch up positions, starting to only get about 4 hours of good sleep a night

Best moment this week?: finding out that we are probably closer than we think to meeting our sweet little one!

Miss Anything?: well, as bad as this may sound, I REALLY MISS the scale having a lower number on it! haha I know it sounds dumb but gracious it is weird to feel so big 

Movement?: she is definitely the daughter of two very active people! she loves to move around while she still can

Food cravings: STEAK!!!   

Symptoms?: this week has definitely been full of craziness with just checking for pre-term labor and finding out how big she has gotten, so symptoms were definitely in full force, we are starting to have Braxton Hicks Contractions, lower back pains and tons of swelling! 

Belly Button in or out?: half and half! 

Wedding rings on or off?: Off, saddest day ever!! I am just too swollen 😦 Michael went out and got me a new ring though because he is such a sweetie! 

Happy or Moody most of the time?:  A very calm and maintaining happiness week! I am not allowed to get stressed out or get anxious so we are forcing calmness and happiness even through crazy days for sweet Demi! 

Looking forward to?: baby shower number one this coming weekend! I am so excited to be home and see people and just celebrate such a wonderful time!! 

What Demi Is Up Too:

 Brain wave activity measured in a developing fetus shows different sleep cycles, including the rapid eye movement phase, the stage when dreaming occurs.

By now, Demi who weighs in at about 3 pounds and stands — or rather lies — at almost 16 inches (measured head to toe) has added blinking to her growing bag of tricks. Other impressive new talents being added to Miss Demi’s roster in the womb include coughing, more intense sucking, and, perhaps most important, better breathing. Of course, it’s still best if a baby doesn’t check out of that hotel just yet — there’s still a lot of growing and maturing to do over the next 12 weeks.

 

27 WEEKS!

Weeks pregnant?: TWENTY-SEVEN!!!!

Maternity clothes?: All day everyday

Stretch marks?: No still!!! lots and lots of lotion

Sleep: we are getting there! starting to sleep a little more here and there

Best moment this week?: feeling the sweet girl have hiccups!!! its was a crazy feeling

Miss Anything?: wine this week, after a long day sometimes I just miss having a big glass

Movement?: she now has hiccups so the movement feels like its back full force

Food cravings: I am definitely wanting welches gummies for some reason!!!  

Symptoms?: this week has been a seriously emotional week, between the emotions of the baby and then Fezzik getting hit by the car it has been some major tears! But we are doing great now

Belly Button in or out?: half and half! 

Wedding rings on or off?: On , but definitely getting super tight!!

Happy or Moody most of the time?:  A lot a bit of happy and moody this week, between the craziness of the pup and the happiness of feeling my sweet baby girl we have felt all the emotions! At the end of the day though, my little girl is healthy, my munchkin pup is doing better slowly and we are back to happy! 

Looking forward to?: the upcoming BABY SHOWERS!!!!! 🙂 

What Demi Is Up Too:

For sweet Demi, it’s time to trade in the old crown-to-rump measurement for a new head-to-toe standard. So what is Demi’s stats this week (which, coincidentally, is the end of the second trimester)? Fifteen inches — more than a foot long — and triple (or even quadruple) what it was in week 12. Her weight is creeping up the charts as well, coming in at just over three pounds. More big news: Demi may recognize my voice by now, so we are definitely going to serenade the belly more (and start learning those lullabies!).
